It has been proved that a closed submanifold M of real dimension 2n with parallel mean curvature vector fields and equal Kahler angles, immersed into complex projective space CP²ⁿ of dimension 2n, must be either a holomorphic or a Lagrangian submanifold, while such a submanifold immersed into a 2n-dimensional complex Euclidean space C²ⁿ must have constant Kahler angles for any positive integer n. As a corollary, the same conclusion has been obtained for a slant submanifold M²ⁿ immersed into CP²ⁿ without assuming it being closed, which generalizes a result of Chen and Tazawa for minimal submanifolds.

The optimum solution obtained uses well known max-min rule of the fuzzy logic.

The derivation of some Multistep methods for solving initial value probelms have been discussed . Earlier reports by P. Onumanyi et al. and Awoyemi D.O. show that collection methods are derived through the use of canonical polynomials. Power series is used as the approximation to the solution of the general first order initial value problem y' =f(x,y); y(α)=α. For every k-step method derived, it turns out to be of order k+1. Cases of k=1 1,2,3, and 4 have been presented. The order, errror constants convergence and stability properties are examined for each method.

The steady laminar boundary layer flow for a point sink with variable viscosity effects has been investigated. The similarity solutions of the two point boundary value problem governed by coupled parabolic partial differential equations have been obtained numerically using an implicit finite difference scheme. The temperature dependent viscosity is found to have a pronounced effect on momentum and thermal transport in the boundary layer region.

For a complete metric h of Gaussian curvature K₀ on a punctured Riemann surface of genus g ≥1 (or the sphere with the least three punctures, given a smooth negative function K with K = K₀ in neighbourhoods of the punctures it has been proved that there exists a metric conformal to h which attains this function as its Gaussian curvature for the puntured Riemann surface. It has been done by minimizing an appropriate functional using elementary analysis.
