According to Sherman (1965), under Repetitive Group Sampling Plan (RGS), the number of defectives are counted, and then, according to a fixed criterion, the lot is either accepted, rejected, or the sample is completely disregarded, and begin over again with a new sample. This is continued until the fixed criterion tells either to accept or reject the lot. One should not even keep track of how many times a sample is repeated. Bayesian Sampling Plan is that experiment or analytical study which can yield prior frequency distribution for the quality of the submitted lots and these 'prior' distributions can in turn be used to derive lot-by-lot sampling plans. Selection of Bayesian RGS plan is provided through various set of outgoing quality levels. The average probability of Acceptance function and the formula for overall average outgoing quality level for Bayesian Repetitive Group Sampling Plan are derived and tables are given.

Authors have studied the numerical solutions for the effect of radiation on natural convection about an isothermal vertical cylinder embedded in a saturated porous media. The partial differential equations are transformed in the non-similar layer equation which are solved by an implicit finite difference method (Keller Box Method). Numerical results for the dimensionless temperature profiles and the local Nusselt number are presented for the transverse curvature parameter ξ, surface temperature excess ratio H and conduction-radiation parameter Rd. Local Nusselt number increases as the transverse curvature parameter increases.

Considers an M<^>x/G/l queuing system with N-policy and multiple vacations. After providing services, as soon as the system becomes empty, it leaves the system for a vacation of random length V. When it returns from the vacation, it checks the system. If the system size is greater than or equal to predetermined-value N (threshold), the server immediately begins to serve the customers. If it finds less than N customers, it again leaves for another vacation and the process continues until the server finally finds at least N customers, it again leaves for another vacation and the process continues until the server finally finds at least N customers. Here we derive the time dependent system size distribution, together with some other performance measures.

Effects of stenosis shape parameter on physiological characteristics of blood through the artery with mild stenosis have been studied. The proposed model for the blood introduces power-law fluid model. The variation of resistance to flow and shear stress with stenosis shape parameter, stenosis length, stenosis size has been shown graphically. To estimate the effect of the stenosis shape, a suitable geometry is considered such that the axial shape of the stenosis can be changed just by varying a parameter (stenosis shape parameter). Thus for a givenshape parameter there correspond stenosis geometry and vice-versa. It is shown that the resistance to flow decreases as the stenosis shape parameter changes and the maximum resistance is attained in the case of symmetric stenosis. It is also observed that the resistance to flow and wall shear increases with the size of the stenosis but these increases is comparatively small due to non-Newtonian behaviour of the blood indicating the usefulness of its rheological character in the functioning of the diseased arterial circulation.

Regularly semi open sets due to Cameron are renamed as v-open sets. Various properties and characterizations of these sets are studied in the present work. It is found that class of v- open sets in a topological space contains the class of regularly open sets and is contained in the class of semi open sets. Neither the union nor the intersection of two v-open sets is v-open in general. New concepts of v-irresolute functions, v-closure and v-correspondence have been established. It is shown that interiors of v-open sets generates the topology for a semi-regular space.

With the recent development of the mathematical models of cancerous growth, considers a procedure for cancer therapy which consists of interaction between immune response (immune cells) and tumor cells without any specific drug. The cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) cause of the immune response. This process is modeled as a system of tumor cell density (TCD) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF). The purpose is to establish a rigorous mathematical analysis of the model and to explore the density/concentration of tumor cell and immune response (TNF). The result suggests that although TCD capable to growth of tumor but the immune response is block to direct tumor growth.

The suction velocity perpedicular to the plate fluctuation in magnitude but not in the direction about a nonzero mean and the free stream velocity fluctuates in time about nonzero constant mean. The effect of magnetic field (M), permeability of the porous medium (K) and Schmidt number (Sc) on the velocity and concentration of fluid are discussed with the help of Graphs.

Main aim of this paper is concerned with the results obtained by using Ritz Finite Element approach of an adjacent flow of immiscible fluids bounded by porous beds. Finite element method solution of governing equations have been obtained by dividing the flow into two zones and using appropriate matching conditions. Zone-I lower fluid is taken as with that of high viscosity and zone-II is upper fluid layer filled with low viscosity. The velocity distribution in both layers, the slip velocities at the normal surfaces of lower and upper porous beds, the average velocities of both layers and the fractional increase in mass flow rate are obtained by using linear, quadratic elements in FEM and these results are compared with exact solution.

The fluid is bounded by a parallel upper surface at a distance h from the plane. Analytical expressions for velocities of liquid and dust particles are obtained. The important characteristics of the problem such as Hartman parameter (Mo), elastic parameter (a) and permeability of the medium (k1) has been discussed in detail with the help of graphs.
