A method has been developed for linear stochastic fractional programming problem (LSFPP). A LSFPP is nothing but optimizing the ratio of two linear functions subject to some constraints in which atleast one of the problem data is random in nature with non-negative constrains on the variables. A chance-constrained linear fractional programming problem with mixed constraint has been considered and various cases of randomness have been taken into account. Each case has been discussed separately and illustrated with numerical examples. All examples turned out to be non-linear and have been solved. The application of linear programming can sometimes encounter stumbling blocks when the data are put into the mathematical model because of the occurrence of random event. Such a mathematical model of a machine manufacturing problem has been considered where the above model has been applied. In this model processing times are considered independently distributed normal variables.

In this paper the two dimensional non-Darcy convection flow of viscous incompressible fluid over a horizontal impermeable surface embedded in a saturated porous medium under the influence of a constant magnetic field of strength Ho perpendicular to the horizontal surface is considered. The flow in saturated porous media is governed by non-Darcy Ergun model. Similarity solutions are obtained for three cases viz., natural convection, mixed convection, and forced convection. The transformed non-linear ordinary differential equations with the corresponding bounary conditions are solved by numerical integration using the Runge-Kutta method by the shooting technique with a systematic guessing of unknown initial conditions. The effect of magnetic field on velocity and temperature for different values of physical constants in three cases, viz., natural convection, mixed convection and forced convection, is studied.

A few intersting solutions in (n+4)-dimensional variable rest mass extension of general relativity represented by Wesson theory of gravitation have been presented. The most important conclusion is that the inhomogeneous (4+n)-dimensional space-time may account for inflation of three space and simultaneous contraction of extra scale with and without cosmological constant∧. A variety of different higher dimensional cosmological model have been found and discussed. The stiff fluid case has been discussed because the allowance for a more general case is externely complicated and may not be amenable to exact mathematical analysis. Thus, the use of equation with ρ = P may regarded as a model that describes dissipative processes in higher dimensions, and it is naturally of interest to establish everything that such a simplified approach can give. The role of n^th component of pressure as a cosmological constant different from zero has been studied and observed that the nature of scale factor R(I) are different as the case for p_n = 0 has been studies. It has been noted that for/the case P_n = constant (say λ), the stiff and radiation model similar to the model obtained in the case of P_n = 0 has been obtained.

Many real life applications, dealing with networks require the computation of best or shortest paths from one node to another, called Shortest Path Problem (SPP). When only one objective (criteria) is considered in the network, SPP is called a Single Objective Shortest Path Problem (SOSPP). A Multiple Objective Shortest Path Problem (MOSPP) in a network consists of more than one objective. Maximum number of Pareto optimal paths of a MOSPP in a network, is very much useful in finding the maximum number of iterations and the complexity of a particular algorithm. It is proved that the maximum number of Pareto optimal paths of any MOSPP in a completely connected network, in the worst case, is 1 + (n-2)+(n-2)+...+(n-2)!+(n-2)!+(n-2)! and it lies between 2[(n-2)!] and 3[(n-2)!]. Also, a recurrence relation is developed to find the maximum number of Pareto optimal paths of any MOSPP in the worst case as p(n) = (n-2)p(n-1)+1,p(2) = 1.

If <157>S<157>≥ 3 and S can be obtained from an arithmetic progression of size <157>S<157> + 1, {a, a+d, a_2d, ..., a+3d} by dropping either say a+d or a+(s-1)d, then S is said to be an almost arithmetic progression (a.a.p) with difference d. The exhaustion numbers of a.a.p. subsets of Z_n, n≥ 4 have been determined.

Consider a finite non-empty family F of subsets of a set S. An intersection respresentation is a function f. from the vertex set V into the family F of sets. Also f de fines, in an implicit manner, a complementary assignment from the same vertex set V, to F, where, the adjacency is defined as the non-S union. In this case f is called the simultaneous or Polysemic intersection representation, and the two graphs thus obtained from the same vertex set V, are called polysemic intersection pairs. Polysemic representation of real numbers, polysemi intersection representation of multiple posets and graphs are discussed and this idea is further extended to bipartite graphs, k-partite graphs, and to some intersection graphs defined on some topological patterns as well.

The unsteady laminar motion of dusty viscous incompressible fluid through concentric circular cylinders under the influence of uniform magnetic field and time varying pressure gradient has been discussed numerically by finite difference method. The velocities of the dusty fluid and dust particles for constant, exponential and periodic pressure gradients for different times and the effect of the strength of the magnetic field on velocity profiles at fixed time are studied in detail and shown graphically.

A graph G is decomposable into the subgraphs G₁,G₂,G₃,...G_i,...G_nof G if no G_i,(i = 1,2,3,..., n) has isolated vertices and the edge set E(G) can be partitioned into the subsets E(G₁),E(G₂), ..., E(G_n). If G_i ≅ H for every i, say that G is H-decomposable and one writes HIG. A graph F without isolated vertices is a least common multiple of the graphs G₁ and G₂, if F is a graph of minimum size such that F is both G₁- decomposable and G₂- decomposable. The size (the number of edges) of a least common multiple of two graphs G₁, and G₂ is denoted by lcm (G₁,G₂). Icm (C_k,P_n), Icm(W_n,P₅) and Icm (C₄,K_1,3,P_n haved been found).
