At the end of the present paper, testing of various estimators of performance measures and sensitivity analysis for variational parameters has been also presented to draw valid inferences, which apparently focus its practical aspect.

More precisely, a successful attempt has been made to show that the number of present customers in the system at time t and the number of departure up to time t in an M^X (t)/G (t)/∞ : (∞ ; FCFS) queueing system, are independent (uncorrelated) if and only if arrivals are by singlets or the arrival process does not occur (degenerate case). Moreoever, numerical illustrations have also been made for some particular cases in 4th section of the present paper.

Four integrals and four Fourier series were obtained involving the product of the biorthongal polynomials {U_n (x; k)} and {V_n (x; k)} defined by Prabhakar and Tomar (1980), the general class of polynomials introduced by Srivastava (1972), and the H-functlon proposed by Inayat-Hussian (1987). This function is most general in nature and contains a certain class of Feynman integrals, the exact partition function of the Gaussian model in statistical mechanics and several other functions as its particular cases, which are not the special cases of Fox's H-function. A number of (known or new) results follow as special cases, simply by specializing the coefficients and parameters involved herein. For the sake of illustration, some special cases are mentioned briefly.

Channel capacity is a key concept in information theory and its usefulness has been widely discussed in the literature. It is an important measure of channel performance but it requires a free choice of the input distribution. Brijpaul and Sharma [3] gave a direct method of computing the performance function of a discrete memoryless communication channels. They obtained the performance function for discrete channels by using Shannon entropy which is additive in nature, but in some situations additivity does not hold good. In such situations, non-additivity prevails. Algorithm for computing the performance function for generalized (r, s) entropy of discrete memoryless communication channel under single and multiple constraints has been given. Entropy has been defined by Sharma and Mittal [8] which is non-additive in nature.

Studies the effect of stratification factor, porosity factor and slip parameter on the slip velocity of the flow of viscous stratified fluid. It is known that when a Newtonian fluid flows between two impermeable surfaces, the usual boundary condition with no slip condition on the boundary leads to a parabolic type of motion in the channel. Beaver and Joseph have shown that the flow between two porous bed is governed by Darcy Law and no slip condition is replaced by a streamwise slip velocity at the nominal surface. Using the slip boundary condition, Auther divide the entire flow region into two Zones. Zone-I relates the free flow above the bed which is governed by Navier Stokes equation and in zone 2 below the interface the flow is governed by Darcy Law. The velocity distribution under the pressure gradient in these zones are separately obtained and matched at the interface to get continuous velocity distribution. Auther have made a study of the slip velocity in presence of stratification factor (β) with variable porosity factor under constant slip parameter (α). It reveals from the table that stratification accelerates the slip velocity when the slip parameter a α 1 but it retards the velocity when the slip parameter α = 1. Thus we may conclude that stratification factor may accelerate or retard the motion depending on the values of slip parameter. Also it appears from the table that slip velocity decreases with the increase of the porosity factor for every pair of n and α.

Convection flow in a porous rectangular duct with differentially heated side walls using Brinkman's model has been discussed. The governing non-linear coupled equations for momentum and temperature are obtained in terms of the dimensionless stream function and temperature. The Galerkin finite element analysis with six noded triangular elements is used to obtain the global stiffness matrices for the stream function and temperature. The coupled matrices are solved using iterative procedure and the expressions for the velocity, temperature are obtained as linear combinations of the shape functions. The behaviour of the velocity, temperature and the Nusselt number are discussed computationally for different values of the governing parameters.

The temperature near the plate is made to rise linearly with time. The fluid considered is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a non-scattering medium. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using the Laplace-transform technique. The velocity and temperature are studied for different parameters like magnetic field parameter, time and radiation parameter. It is observed that the velocity slightly decreases with increasing the value of the radiation parameter.

It is found that in both the cases magnitude of skin friction along the man and perpendicular to the direction of main flow increases with R. The coefficient of heat transfer also incrases with R as well as with a in both the cases.

Ringel conjectured that every connected graph ≠ K₂ is antimagic. Introduced the concept of edge label matrix and prove that every complete graphs, cycle graphs and wheel graphs are antimagic.
